ICT4D, through its Capacity Building and Training Department, organized a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) workshop. Such workshops are instrumental in ensuring that projects stay on track, achieve objectives, and deliver intended benefits to the target population.

Dr Hilda Mwangakala, Lecturer, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Technology at the University of Dodoma, and a Principal Investigator of the project with the title “Investigating the Impact of Blockchain Technology in Promoting Inclusive Innovation in Tanzania’s Agricultural Supply Chains”. In the Monitoring and Evaluation workshop, conducted at the College of Informatics and Virtual Education on 30th April 2024, Dr. Hilda shed light on the overview and progress of the project, outlining key milestones achieved and the transformative potential witnessed. Moreover, she discussed the challenges faced by farmers in the Warehouse Receipts System and Contract Farming System in Tanzania.

Furthermore, Dr. Hector Mongi, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dodoma, and a Co-Principal Investigator in the project; Shared critical insights into the strategic planning for the future implementation of the project such as sustaining stakeholders’ investment, data management, publications and dissemination.
